Many Buses and Rail Lines from surrounding cities will end at South Station in Boston. You can easily connect from South Station to North Station and take the MBTA lines to Salem. Here’s How:
– When arriving at South Station:
Take the Red Line towards Alewife (2 stops)
– Get off at: Park Street
– Then take the Green Line towards Lechmere (2 stops)
– Arrive at Boston North Station
Follow Signs for the Commuter Rail upstairs at Ground Level
From the Commuter Rail at North Station
– Take the Newburyport/Rockport Line towards Newburyport (5 stops)
– Get off at: Salem
It’s a short walk to the First Universalist Society of Salem from there!

A great way to get from Boston to Salem!
Museum Place Garage: 1 New Liberty Street, Salem, MA 01970. The garage costs $.75/hour (cash only) paid upon exit. The best part about the garage? Very close walking distance to OCCULT!
Church Street Lot (closest to venue): With smart meters and no time restrictions, the Church Street lot is another good option. You do need to pay at a multi-space meter before leaving your car, though, so make sure you pay for as many hours as you will need. Cost is $1.00 per hour and the multi-space meters accept credit cards and cash.
The MBTA Commuter Rail: If you are taking the train into Boston or out to Newburyport, Rockport or Gloucester, you will find parking at the MBTA lot at 252 Bridge Street, Salem, MA. Parking in this lot costs $4.00 per day and must be paid before leaving the lot. Across the street from OCCULT!
South Harbor Garage: 10 Congress Street, Salem, MA 01970. The South Harbor Garage costs just $.25 per hour (cash only), which is paid upon exit.
The Salem Fast Ferry: If you are going to ride the Salem Ferry into Boston, you will find ample free parking in the lot at 10 Blaney Street, Salem, MA, 01970.
